Libertango - Astor Piazzolla
Libertango is a composition by tango composer Ástor Piazzolla, recorded and published in 1974 in Milan. The title is a portmanteau merging "Libertad" (Spanish for liberty) and "Tango", symbolizing Piazzolla's break from Classical Tango to Tango Nuevo.
According to the performance database at All Music Guide, the composition has appeared on over 500 separate releases. Grace Jones's song I've Seen That Face Before (Libertango) uses the same music, as does Jazz Mandolin Project's song "Jungle Tango", Guy Marchand's song "Moi je suis tango" and Kati Kovács's song Hívlak.
In 1997 Irish folk musician Sharon Shannon recorded a cover of Grace Jones' I've Seen That Face Before (Libertango) for her third album, Each Little Thing. This cover song, which featured session vocals by Kirsty MacColl, appeared under MacColl's name in 2001, on The One and Only, a compilation album released after the singer's death in a boating accident. Shannon re-released the recording as the title track of her 2005 compilation.
In 2002, a re-recording of Libertango appeared on Australian/British classical crossover string quartet Bond second album "Shine".
Also Libertango was played by the famous guitarist Al Di Meola in his 2000 album The Grande Passion and by the world-renowned cellist, YoYo Ma, in his 1997 album, Soul of the Tango: The Music of Ástor Piazzolla.
A section of Libertango constituted the backing music for the Tarot advert for Volvo's S60 compact executive saloon.
The music was also well known previous to this advert from the Roman Polanski movie Frantic (1988)
In the Prince of Tennis anime series, Atobe Keigo and Sanada Genichirou attended a performance of this song. They used it later to set the beat for their Doubles match. In the fandom, this pairing of characters is known as the "Tango Pair" because of this.

James Darren - Gidget
She acts sorta teenage, just in-between age
Looks about four foot three
Although she's just small fry, just about so-high
Gidget is the one for me
A regular tomboy but dressed for a prom
Boy, how cute can one girl be?
Although she's not king size, her finger is ring-size
Gidget is the one for me
If she says she loves you
You can bet your boots she loves you
If she says she hates you
That can also mean she loves you
It very well may be she's just a baby speaking romantically
If that's a bad feature, I'll be the teacher
Gidget is the one for me
She's not much on glamour
And she should improve her grammar
Still I sigh and stammer
And my heart beats like a little ole hammer
Strictly from Dixie, face like a pixie
Shorter than girls should be
The rest of the shipment standard equipment
Just a doll in dungarees
But Gidget is the one for me
SPOKEN: She's it!!
James Darren - There's No Such Thing
There's no such thing as the next best thing to love
No substitute or facsimile thereof
Just try and do without it
Go see how far you get
Why don't we face it
What can replace it
Nothing they thought of yet
There's no such thing as the next best thing to love
Necessity gave a cold cold hand a glove
Likewise someone to cling to
When there's a moon above
There's no such thing as the next best thing to love
There is no such thing with the very same appeal
And nothing like when you fall in love for real
Whether it be the real thing
This much I'm certain of
There is no such thing
There is no such thing
There is no such thing as the next best thing to love
James Darren - "Goodbye Cruel World"
(Goodbye cruel world) (Goodbye cruel world)
Oh, goodbye cruel world, I'm off to join the circus Gonna be a broken-hearted clown Paint my face with a good-for-nothin' smile 'cause a mean, fickle woman turned my whole world upside down
(Goodbye cruel world)
Farewell to love, I'm off to join the circus Gotta find a way to hide my tears Bet I'll have them rolling in the aisle And I'll forget that woman if it takes a hundred years
Oh oh oh, step right up and take a look at a fool He's got a heart as stubborn as a mule C'mon everybody, he's good for a laugh And no one could tell his heart is broken in half
Well, the joke's on me, I'm off to join the circus Oh, Mr. Barnum, save a place for me Shoot me out of a cannon, I don't care Let the people point at me and stare I'll tell the world that woman, wherever she may be That mean, fickle woman made a cryin' clown outta me
(Goodbye cruel world) Shoot me out of a cannon, I don't care Let the people point at me and stare I'll tell the world that woman, wherever she may be That mean, fickle woman made a cryin' clown outta me
Goodbye cruel world Goodbye cruel world FADE Goodbye cruel world Goodbye cruel world
Coro: mundo cruel.
Oh, oh, oh, estando allá no lo podrá remediar, Estando sola, ella me gritará, Ven amorcito, perdona mi error, Estando juntos, La vida cambiará.
Coro: adios, adios, mundo cruel...
Jorge Arce vs Jose Carmona. Aftermath
